In 2006, our founders David and Stacie Forman began Weruva with a simple belief: pets deserve better.
With their three rescue cats — Webster, Rudi, and Vanessa, the namesake for Weruva — David and Stacie faced a problem many pet parents know too well. They couldn’t find food that met the standards they expected when feeding their own furry family. One of the first cans they opened didn’t even look like real meat — and that moment ignited a mission.
It wasn’t enough to simply meet standards on paper. Their cats deserved food made with real, recognizable ingredients.
From day one, David and Stacie set out to create food they would proudly serve in their own kitchen. No shortcuts. No artificial enhancements. No mystery ingredients.
That commitment hasn’t changed.
